Being a single mom can be confusing and overwhelming.
You have a big dream to build a successful life with your child(ren).
You’re willing to do whatever it takes.
But you’re not oblivious to reality either. You probably know the many struggles that mom’s face, whether single or not.
There’s so much going on in the world today that it is scary to not have a partner to look to for support.
Before you know it, years would have passed and you’ve spent 90% of that time worrying about the decisions you’ve made or are currently making for your family.
I’m glad you’re here!
All my life I’ve wanted to be a wife and mother. For a while I got to be both.
The day I gave birth to my daughter was by far the best and most eventful day of my life. I was given the responsibility of keeping this human being alive and it was a very scary blessing. When circumstances took a hairpin turn for the worse and I became a single mother, I was terrified. I wanted to provide the very best for my daughter and was terrified that I would fail.
While I am far from an expert on this subject (very far…), I am living it every day and I am learning new things all the time!
So what do I do? Well, being a mom is my passion!
If you are like me you want to:
Provide financially for your children
Provide an emotionally stable environment for your child
Instill values in your little ones that will carry them through life
Spend more time with your kids and the people you love
You want to experience life with your children to the fullest!
Here is what I can help you with:
Navigating difficult situations with other adults in the picture
Balancing work and home life
Having fun without breaking the bank
How to teach your children by showing compassion and giving to others
Doing things together that your children will love (baking, crafts, and other fun struff!)
My goal is to be a work-at-home-mom by the time my little girl starts school. It’s a big and daunting goal but you can go with me!
Other things about me:
I am a Christ follower. As a Christian, I hope to use my presence on the net to lead others to Christ.
My academic background revolved around psychology and counseling. I majored in psychology at the University of North Texas and earned my degree in Counseling at Seminary.
In the corporate world I have always worked in healthcare. My current title is Financial Navigator and I work with cancer patients to help them find funding for their chemo medications. It is a very heartbreaking yet rewarding endeavor.
I am an only daughter and I have an older brother. Our family is very close and it doesn’t take much to be called family in our neck of the woods. We are truly southern and love our BBQ brisket and sweet tea! I love laughing and trying new things.
I love to show my daughter new things and see her expressions as she learns about the world.
In my small corner of the world, I am known for baking and decorating cakes. I’ve never been to culinary school but nothing excites me the way cake does!
The other thing I love to do it write, which is how this blog was born.
I hope we can become fast friends and if there is ever anything I can do for you, just ask! The best way to keep in touch with me it to join my email list for updates and articles. Come hang out with me!!
Dream Big, Mama!!
